Animorphs, Anubis, Catdog, Frontenac Noir; we love hybrids! By crossing European and North American grapevine species, we have created varieties that are cold-hardy, resistant to fungus, and taste wholly new. Once chastised by the eurocentric wine industry, these varieties are now adding to the discussion of terroir and deliciousness. In this event, we'll explore their hundred+ year history while tasting exalted examples from Quebec (Pinard Et Filles) and Japan (Grape Republic).
